FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Will you contact my ex-partner?
Only with your agreement, and only to invite them to their own separate assessment meeting. We do not disclose what you have told us.
What if my ex-partner refuses?
You attend your own assessment meeting, and the mediator can sign the court form confirming it. Your application proceeds without their participation.
How much does the first call cost?
Nothing. It is an enquiry, not a session, and its purpose is to establish whether mediation is right for you.
Can I contact you without my ex-partner knowing?
Yes. An enquiry is confidential, and we do not make contact with anyone else without your agreement.
Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?
Availability varies by location. Ask when you call and we will tell you honestly what we can offer rather than promising a slot we do not have.
What if I need something decided urgently?
Mediation is not the route for an emergency. Where a child is at immediate risk, or assets are being dissipated, an urgent court application is appropriate and an exemption may apply. We will say so on the call.
